Jessi B. Hernandez

I began dancing at 2 years old. Growing up, my dance education focused on the areas of ballet, pointe, barre, tap, jazz, musical theater and lyrical. I was a part of various group performances, community performances, and Christmas performances. Once at ED White, I was a part of pep squad for two years and then dance team for three years. I was secretary of dance team my junior year and captain of dance team my senior year. I started choreographing at this time in the areas of jazz, hip hop, pom, kick line, and novelty. In my senior year I also began teaching and choreographing.
For the past 18 years, I have taught ages 2 and up at various studios in the tri parish area. I teach for competitive and recreational purposes. I choreograph and teach in the areas of ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, barre, progressions, and musical theatre. I have also worked with dance teams at various schools, judged for dance team tryouts, choreographed routines for dance teams, created skits for mom groups at school, and choreographed performances for events and parties.
For the past 15 years I have trained dancers and choreographed for competitive dancing purposes. I teach solos, duets, trios, small groups, large groups, and production numbers in various styles and with various ages. Throughout the years I have brought these groups and dancers to regional and national competitions and workshops. I have been awarded special judges' awards, choreography awards, entertainment awards, jazz awards, hip hop awards, had dances nominated into special categories, and also won Industry Awards, Apogee Awards, and Odyssey Awards. I also attend various workshops throughout the year to keep myself educated and up to date with all new techniques, teaching skills and choreography.
Rae Harman
Choreographer
Rae began dancing at the age of two. She has studied and performed in the areas of ballet, pointe, barre, tap, progressions, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop, and acro.
She started dancing competitively at age 4. She has had a competitive solo since the age of 7. Her solos have helped her focus on the dance styles of tap, musical theatre, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She has competed with solos, duets, trios, small groups, large groups, and productions. She has competed at numerous regional and national conventions and competitions. She has been invited to nationals with all of her solos. She has been attending dance workshops yearly since the age of 6 and has won ballet and audition scholarships there as well as been invited to participate in The Dance Awards. In 2015, she participated in the Kids Artistic Revue Star Showcase at their Nationals. In 2016, she was awarded Senior Miss Starquest 2016. In the 2016-2017 dance year she auditioned for and made The Streetz Company Assistance Team and toured with the convention/competition to various cities and assisted their choreographers in workshop rooms, performed in a showcase, and helped work their competition. She has won numerous awards for her solos such as high point awards, overalls, special judges’ awards, and invites to take classes. She also has participated in improv competitions and been awarded runner up in these.
Rae was a teacher protege for 6 years and taught kids of all ages and all styles. She has just now begun choreographing on her own in tap and contemporary styles. She attends yearly workshops to continue her education in dance.
Celeste R. Harman
Acrobatics Instructor
Celeste was a cheerleader and trained in the art for 5 years. She attended many camps and nationals. She has an Education Degree from Nicholls State University and has worked with kids of all ages. She is married and has three girls who are in our company. Her girls are: Rae who is 25 and one of our teachers, Emma who is 18, and Ava who is 14. With her girls she has been in the dance competition world for 25 years now. She has assisted/taught acrobatics for 16 years now. As a certified instructor with the Acrobatics Arts program, she has a lot of experience in acro, stretching, conditioning, and training.
